EFCC docks Adegboruwa over alleged property scam

Lagos – A rights activist and lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, was, yesterday, charged before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged lease of a property attached by a court’s order. Adegboruwa is facing a one count of lease of a Lagos property which is subject of a court order of attachment. At the hearing in the matter, prosecuting counsel, Mr Idris Abdullahi informed the court of an amended charge by the prosecution, noting that the earlier charge, had been replaced with the amended charge and prayed the court to substitute same. Trial judge, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo in a short ruling, struck out the charge and replaced it with the amended charge.
